Harsco Corporation's Taylor-Wharton and Praxair Sign Three-Year Global Agreement for Cryogenic Equipment
HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Diversified worldwide industrial services and products company Harsco Corporation (NYSE: HSC) announced today that its Taylor-Wharton cryogenic equipment unit, part of the Harsco Gas and Fluid Control Group, has entered into a three-year global agreement with Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX), designating Taylor-Wharton as the preferred supplier to provide Praxair's facilities in North America, Europe, and China with cryogenic gas storage containers. The agreement designates Taylor-Wharton for a range of standard bulk and vacuum-jacketed cryogenic storage units, as well as electronic-grade containers produced in Taylor-Wharton's ultra high purity Class 1000 Clean Room, the only facility of its kind in the industry. Cryogenic containers store liquefied gases at temperatures as low as -268 degrees C (-450 degrees F) for industrial, semiconductor, medical and other uses. The agreement also calls for Taylor-Wharton to supply Praxair's European locations with standard ambient vaporizers that convert liquefied product to its gaseous state.
